I wrote this book because I felt there is a lot of confusion about weight loss and obesity. There seems to be this secret that only 40% of the population are aware of. The other 60% are over weight - do they want to be over weight? No? Then why don't they lose it? And so I wondered.. maybe they just don't know how!~ Maybe they need a little help, maybe they need not just a little honesty but the harsh reality that reality can bring. The reality is if you burn more calories than you eat - you'll lose weight. The reality is if you don't give up, you won't stop losing weight. The reality is, you have to want to lose weight more than you want to eat!
I thought to myself - well what's the real problem? What's really going on in the minds of these obese people? So then I asked myself - well what prevents me from going to the gym? What makes me eat the food I'm trying NOT to? What's my problem? Maybe it's the same problem for everyone else? And so I wrote and wrote. Most of my book was written in a single sitting. I had just got back from working out, and decided to finally write a book - intent on telling the world this secret I had finally figured out. I had recently lost 50lbs. I went from 190 to 140. I didn't have some special diet, I didn't even have access to a gym, I didn't take any pills, I didn't have a personal trainer, I didn't even read anything about losing weight - I just stopped making excuses and did it and I didn't give up. IT is what my book is about. IT is self control, IT is EXACTLY what it takes to get the body you want. Whether it's losing 200lbs or gaining 20lbs of muscle, or losing the 30 pounds you put on after being pregnant OR the 50 pounds covering your long lost 6 pack like me! The same mentality applies to each of these. This book is more about the mental aspects to losing weight as much as what it actually takes to lose it. It's all in your mind. And that is what my book is, a dose of reality. It's the mentality you're going to need to take control of yourself. I'm going to tell you EXACTLY what you need to do to start losing the weight you want to. Not just to look good, but to feel better too. It's not just a superficial thing, but an essential thing - if you stay obese you're going to suffer from not just disease and medical conditions but you limit what you can do with your life. Like walking, attracting and keeping a mate, traveling, sports - pretty much everything is hindered by being obese.
