I filled up almost all of the poster boards with stuff that looks like gibberish to me now. They were more like taking mental notes or working a math problem out the long way. I then turned my attention to one of the Da Vinci books I had just bought. I was reading things that I had just been thinking about! The curiosities and complexities of vision and such. I had never really read Da Vinci’s journals before that moment, so it was very very strange that I was considering things in the books I had just bought – but not yet read!?

Remember that I hadn’t eaten or slept in days! -So I then started to look through some of Da Vinci’s paintings. For the first time I questioned what was going on in the art. I didn’t look at it at its face value but asked instead - why? Why was it painted like that? Why did the artist put the paint where they did, what purpose did it serve? It’s not a photograph, every single spot of paint was put there with function and intention..

I was most curious about why Da Vinci had been thinking the same things as someone 500 years in his future? He must be trying to get at what I was getting at - Get it? How could this man from 500! Years ago be contemplating the same things as me? Someone who has spent most of his life on a computer and with technology that wasn’t even a glimmer in someone’s eye back then??

I still had my 3d glasses from watching the tv show Medium (which did and episode in 3d.) and I wondered; Why do red and blue on different eyes make something look like it’s jumping out? Have you ever wondered that? I looked it up and even figured out how to make 3d pictures myself. What I couldn’t figure out was why most of Da Vinci’s paintings were full of red and blue?

So of course I put on my 3d glasses and started to look through his art… Although they didn’t pop up I knew that Da Vinci was considering the same things I was and well.. That lead me to my first Da Vinci theory.

“The Mona Lisa is 3d”

A pretty crazy statement about a painting that was painted so long ago, right?

As I looked through the Da Vinci book a little more I came across a painting called “Jesus with the Doctors” it wasn’t by Da Vinci but at one point they thought it was. Now they say it’s done by Bernardino Luini around 1515. (that name looks funny to me for some reason, there’s something weird about it! It looks like Leonardo Da Vinci but changed??)

I looked at this painting and thought: What is he doing with his hands? Why is one finger pointing to the stone in his shirt? Why did the artist use red and blue? What is going on in this painting? What is the meaning? Does the hand gesture mean 3? Or 1? 1 +3? There is obviously some kind of meaning!

Since this was the first time I had actually studied a painting for more than a glance I had no idea what anything meant. It made me think of Mr. Desmares English class and reading Paradise Lost;. How you needed an explanation to describe what the hell he was talking about for almost every sentence. If you didn’t understand what each word was really referring to and the use behind it, you couldn’t understand what was going on. This was very similar to that since I knew nothing of art or color use or paintings in general. It was like trying to read poetry in another language but at the same time different since it’s based on vision. If there really was a 3d component to this picture then I might be the first to realize that because no one else would have imagined it from something made before they knew what 3d was!

This also shows where my naivety came in handy but also could lead me astray. People already had reasons why there was an abundance of red and blue. I later read that they symbolize being “regal”  and not for 3d.. BUT what if they were wrong? There can be more than one meaning to something. I eventually found out I was definitely on the right track.  It makes it apparent how some naivety can go a long way. Da Vinci’s success was attributed to not having a formal education which led him to figuring everything out for himself.

For some reason after I scanned that painting in my computer I thought that it would make an animation if I flashed it how it was, and then mirrored. Why? I have no idea, I was going on 3 days with no sleep and wearing 3d glasses looking at ancient art.. There isn’t really a great explanation for anything at that point…

If you glace back and forth at the hands you’ll see what I mean and maybe why I thought to do this. It kinda freaks your mind out and you might also see what I meant by it being an animation. Left right, left right, left right. Something like that. 1 2 3 ? Do it, look at one side and then the next as fast as you can! Also if you can combine them with your eyes (crossing them) see what happens.. It looks like Jesus is doing gang signs.

I was like; wow that’s pretty cool! But I didn’t understand what It meant. So I tried something else.  I tried to mirror the painting on itself. This is done by putting the mirrored painting on itself and changing the transparency to 50%. It’s the same thing that happens when you cross your eyes but done with the computer.

You’ll see the picture this makes on the next page but you can imagine my reaction. Three days without sleep or food, trying to figure out strange obscure things that I had never even thought about before.. Then randomly buying books that were related to what I was thinking and then finding this painting and trying to mirror it on itself??  A lot of strange coincidences if you ask me! But just wait, it gets better.. or worse depending on how you want to think about it!

It could be the symmetry of the painting, a coincidence, a fluke but I gotta admit Jesus looks like an alien! It’s not just me right?

At this point I had gone almost totally crazy. I was seriously freaked out and sure that someone was playing a trick on me. Was I really in a matrix? What made me do this and why after doing it did it look like this?? Was it supposed to be seen like this???

I kept playing with the image and ended up with this:

This is the part where it gets confusing. So much so that even in my enhanced mental state I couldn’t figure it out. Is this just some freakish coincidence that a hallucinating guy put together? Was this what it’s like to go crazy?

In that mind frame I remember noticing things differently than I do now. I would see things that were there, but my mind was trying to figure out what they were. It’s like when you see a leaf on the ground that looks like something else! It couldn’t really be could it?

Am I really seeing what I’m seeing? OR is my mind just trying to force these obscure objects into something they might be? It’s like when you think you see something in clouds but know it couldn’t possibly be there on purpose. It’s just a random coincidence of shapes that appear to be something else. I realized that and kept trying to tell myself that it’s just a coincidence that Jesus looked like an alien. After all - I still had a logical mind. I didn’t just jump to conclusions. Here’s an example of how my mind works, amplified by the lack of sleep and thinking I’ve found something no one else had.,

OK: here’s this painting. Done by an artist 500 years ago. It’s very possible that it’s supposed to be viewed like this. They could have used mirrors and crossed their eyes to see it like this so it is possible they meant for it to look like this. It also could just be a coincidence. BUT did they even consider aliens being alive back then? Did they even consider what aliens might look like? This image shows what we might consider aliens to look like today: It’s very similar to a lot of aliens we see in movies. It’s humanoid so it could also just be a different looking human. Maybe they had people who looked like that back then? They are kinda pointing up and that face in the middle REALLY looks like what id imagine an alien to look like. Or a perfect human..

I don’t just think, I think a lot! Once you consider that this was the artist intent and it was suppose to be this figure and that figure is an “alien” what does that mean? He was an alien? He knew an alien? It’s just what he might think one would look like? Why would he choose for it to look like that? Why would he hide it in a painting of Jesus? Was Jesus an alien? That kinda makes sense! Heaven could literally mean space if you wanted to consider it like that. Heaven is referred to as space in Genesis. Hmm. If ancient people used to worship the sun as a god and even living people as gods then it might make sense that the Christian version of God is based off of an ancient alien that we consider to be a spiritual heaven but could just mean outer space? - “separated the heavens and the earth” Heaven = space?

I was thinking in IF THEN’s. If this is true then what could that mean? If that is true then what are the possibilities. In order to really really think about something you have to put aside your beliefs and consider things as an unbiased observer. That’s what I was trying to do. I thought about things as they are, as they could be, as they might be – all the possible explanations! Then only consider something to be true if it can be proven and if the other possibilities are proven false. As everyone knows most things have two sides, two opinions, and two beliefs. I decided that it’s better to be undecided than picking a side you aren’t absolutely sure of.  There’s nothing wrong with not knowing!

I was in such an altered state of mind that any thought that created an unknown would make my mind come up with different possibilities to explain it. If there are aliens then they could be here at the moment, watching me, and I would never know. They could have devices I couldn’t even see watching me! But then I would think, nooo, they wouldn’t have a reason to. Would they? But what if they did? How would I know? Would it matter?  I would consider the possibility without actually thinking it was real, but what if it was?! It seems pretty odd looking back on those strange couple of days.  I’m lucky that I was allowing myself to have those thoughts without actually believing them to be true. The very thing that separates someone who’s crazy from someone who’s curious.. Notice that “God” is in a cloud that’s the shape of a brain..
